Scott Greenawalt is the President of Competitive Edge Manufacturing Consultants. He graduated from Westminster College in Pennsylvania with a degree in Business and later earned a degree in Maintenance and Equipment Reliability from NC State. Scott brings 34 years of packaging and converting experience. Scott's last role before starting CEMC was VP of Operations for Sonoco's Protective Packaging Division. During his time with Sonoco, he also spent several years as the Corporate Director of Engineering. In addition to having global responsibility for engineering, he also had General Management responsibility for Machinery Manufacturing Division. Over his career Scott has held several plant manager and regional manufacturing management roles. Safety, Leadership, Equipment Reliability, and Lean Manufacturing have been key passions over Scott's career and continue to be focus areas of CEMC.
With 32 years of mining and manufacturing experience, Todd Scherich has joined Competitive Edge Manufacturing Consultants as Vice President and Partner. Todd, a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, most recently was Director of Equipment Design and Global Manufacturing Support for Sonoco, based in Hartsville, SC. Todd had a leading role in many processes including Global Standardization, Maintenance Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, Safety, and the Sonoco Performance System. Previous experience with Sonoco included Global Standardization Leader and Regional Engineer, both where he gained valuable experience in Project Management, Plant Consolidation, Manufacturing Improvement, and International Plant startups. Before Sonoco, Todd worked in the coal mining industry where he served in roles including Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Manager, and PlantManager all with a heavy concentration in equipment reliability, project execution and leadership skills.
